MARCH 6-13, 2020
Our 9th-12th graders will spend Spring Break serving in Belize. We’ll leave Starkville on the night of Friday, March 6 and return on Friday, March 13. The estimated cost of the trip is $1500. The trip cost will be set once we know how many people are going and airfare is booked. The cost covers transportation to the airport, airfare, travel insurance, transportation in Belize, lodging, meals and ministry supplies, t-shirt, snorkeling, a Mayan ruins tour, and all meals except for the meals while we are traveling. Two fundraisers, donations and the church budget will reduce the cost of the trip. Due to help from the budget and fundraisers the average per person cost has been about $550 for our previous 4 international mission trips.
A $200 deposit is due by October 31.
Final payment is due March 1.
The deposit is non-refundable as it will be used to reserve airfare
Once we submit names for the airfare (typically in late December) we will be unable to refund any amount that is up to the cost of the airfare.
After January 15 no refunds can be provided as the church will have already paid for each participant’s trip in full
While we are in Belize we’ll be hosted by Praying Pelicans. They will provide meals, water, transportation, housing, and our ministry opportunities. We’ve partnered with Praying Pelicans for the past 4 years as we have gone to Belize and Puerto Rico. We’ll be working and staying at the same church as we have the previous 2 years. The church is located in the rural community of Trial Farm, just outside of the city of Orange Walk.
Once you register for the trip you need to go ahead and secure your passport if you do not already have one. https://passports.state.gov
